When I first began creating Leahlani, I knew skincare had to be about more than just results on the surface. Our skin is so deeply connected to how we feel inside — and I wanted products that could honor that connection.

Leahlani was truly born in my treatment room. My clients would lie down with their eyes closed as I cradled their faces, placing their trust completely in my hands. In those quiet, vulnerable moments, the little details meant everything — the way a texture melted into the skin, the aroma of each product, and how a single scent could shift the entire energy of the room. Living on this vibrant and beautiful island- I wanted to bring that energy into the products I was applying to my clients precious skin. That’s when I realized skincare could be so much more than functional. It could be transformative.

That belief has guided me ever since — to create products that care for your skin and your spirit, turning daily routines into little rituals of joy and grounding. One of the places this came to life was through our Aromatherapy Essences. And honestly, calling them “Aromatherapy Essences” isn’t the most marketing-friendly choice. But that was never the point. I didn’t create them to be perfumes, I created them as little bottles of support — blends that could comfort you, uplift you, or simply bring you back to yourself the moment you inhale them. 

Each one holds a story close to my heart. Bless Essence was born from the aroma of our Bless Beauty Balm — one of the most beautiful scents I’ve ever experienced, like citrus blossoms carried on spring rain here on Kaua‘i. Kiele came from advice an auntie gave me when I couldn’t quiet my mind at night: place fresh gardenia blossoms by your bedside to calm a racing mind and connect you with your heart. And Pamplemousse came from our cleansing oil — a scent that feels like instant joy, bright and playful, like bottled sunshine. Once I saw how scent alone could shift the way someone felt, I knew every product I made had to carry that same kind of magic.

We live in a world that pulls us in a million directions, making it so easy to rush through life on autopilot. That’s why I create skincare the way I do — to turn a routine into a ritual, a moment to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with yourself.
