So what exactly are Leahlani Elixirs?
An elixir is defined as such:

Sounds dreamy right? While they may not prolong your life, they truly are magical skin-loving potions. Our elixirs were formulated to take the place of our day and night creams. For those who are skeptical of using an oil based elixir in place of a traditional cream, I feel you, I was too. That is why it took me so long to perfect their formulation. I discovered is that our elixirs resonated better with just about every single skin type, this is because they are free of emulsifiers, waxes and fillers and are full to the brim with nutrient dense, organic botanicals specifically designed to provide results and nourishment to the skin. They are efficacious and overflowing with some of the most beautiful ingredients I have ever worked with. Better yet? The results are equally as beautiful. I promise that both you and your skin you will look forward to their application each morning and evening.

Aloha Ambrosia Morning Moisture Elixir was formulated with these exact factors in mind. An exotic, superfood feast for your skin. This light-weight morning elixir is carefully formulated to hydrate and nourish your skin, providing each cell with the essential nutrients it needs throughout the day to leave your skin well fed, perfectly moisturized and wholly nourished. The effortless and quick absorbing nature of Aloha Ambrosia makes it perfectly suited for morning | daytime use. If you wear makeup, you will love Aloha Ambrosia as a moisturizing 'primer'. Simply allow a few minutes after application before applying your makeup. She is suited for all skin types, but is especially beneficial for oily | combination skin. If your skin tends to be on the drier side, you may want to layer a small amount of Bless Beauty Balm on top for additional moisture.

At night, our skin cells are working hard to repair the damage from the days pollutants and to balance moisture that we loose while we sleep. Nighttime is the perfect time to use richer and heavier products that will feed your skin cells the nutrients they need to help optimize healing and repairing. This is exactly what Mahina Elixir was formulated to do.
Mahina Evening Replenishing Elixir is my moonlight magic, her ingredient is list is stellar. Mahina contains some of the most powerful youth enhancing, cold pressed beauty oils such as moringa, marula, prickly pear, chia, carrot seed, passionflower and meadowfoam seed oil that work in harmony to help repair cellular damage and encourage cellular renewal while providing abundant moisture and hydration to the skin. Massage one pump into your skin and instantly become transported to aromatic heaven, surrounded by sweet citrus and soft vanilla. Mahina will work hard as you sleep, ensuring that you wake up to soft, supple and replenished skin. I spend a few minutes massaging Mahina into my face, neck and decollate area before falling asleep. Because neither Aloha Ambrosia or Mahina have any water in their formulation, I strongly recommend applying them to a moist face. Why do this? I like to use the wet sponge/dry sponge analogy. A dry sponge is not able to absorb as much moisture as a damp sponge can- the same metaphor applies to the skin. Your skin will absorb your Elixirs and Serums faster and more effectively when applied to a damp or moist face. There are a few ways you can go about doing this, you may mist your face with either our Citrus & Citrine or Bohemian Ruby toner first, and then apply one pump of Elixir to your skin or you can simply splash your face with warm water and 'pat' dry, and then apply your Elixir. This is also why I always apply my Coco Infusions to my skin right out of the shower, while the pores are open and the skin is warm.
So, what about serums?
I think of our serums as light-weight super 'skin boosters'. Both the Happy Hour and Siren Serum have a very small molecular structure, which can penetrate and absorb more easily into the deeper layers of the skin, helping to repair and strengthen the cells. Due to their concentrated nature, you may find that you only need 1/2 pump of Serum to deliver results. Leahlani Skincare currently has two serums that are very different from each other. Each Serum was formulated to address specific skin needs. Lets break them down:
Our HAPPY HOUR SERUM is our harmonizer. She is calming and soothing, and will help restore balance to your skin. This serum is great for redness, scarring, dry patches, irritation, acne breakouts and even sun burns, and is gentle enough to use around the eye area. Our organic 'cocktail' of green tea, white tea and rooibos tea will help reduce inflammation and strengthen elasticity while the soothing blend of lavender, chamomile and rose geranium will assist in balancing the skin to bring it back to its ‘happy place’. I reach for Happy Hour when my skin is in need of soothing, and she always delivers.

The Siren Serum is our radiant bottle of sunshine, bursting at the seams with Vitamin C and A, tonifying algae and a brightening infusion of over 15 regenerating and invigorating essential oils that will help promote an even skin tone and help fade acne scarring and hyper pigmentation. Think 'glow'. The addition of micro algae helps to improve vitality by boosting cellular energy and promoting new cell growth, leaving the skin feeling fresh and toned. Her color is bright and vibrant, as is her scent. She is uplifting and active, and will leave your skin radiant and glowing.

One of my favorite ways to use the Serums is compounding them to my face masks. Adding a pump of Siren Serum to your Mermaid Mask is heavenly and adds an additional amount of vitamin C and cellular regenerating properties. Adding a pump of the Happy Hour Serum to the Honey Love 3-in-1 helps boost moisture and anti-inflammatory properties, leaving your skin soft and supple. You may also layer your Serums under you Elixirs. To do so, first determine which Serum best addresses your skincare needs. Start with a moist face (as mentioned earlier) and start by applying 1/4-1/2 pump of Serum to your skin. Allow the Serum to absorb (1-3 minutes) before layering with with your Elixir (Aloha Ambrosia in the AM and Mahina Elixir in the PM). Follow by applying a small amount of Bless Balm to the areas around you eyes and lips for added softness.
